The Samsung Galaxy A36 5G succeeds the Galaxy A35 5G. It features a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen display. It supports Nano-SIM and eSIM configurations (Dual SIM or dual eSIM stand-by depending on region). The device runs on Android 15 alongside Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4 nm) processor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0, boosted by 5G network coverage. The mobile features a triple-camera module on the rear and a single punch-hole selfie camera on the front. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery with upgraded 45W Super Fast Charging and is available in Lavender, Black, White, and Lime colors.

Display

The 6.7-inch display utilizes Super AMOLED technology with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution (~385 ppi density), a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Reaching up to 1200 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM) and 1900 nits peak brightness, the panel stays clear and readable in direct outdoor sunlight. Built-in automatic brightness and dark mode adjust contrast and fonts to protect your vision in low-light environments. Display protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. Additionally, the phone features an IP67 water and dust resistance rating (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes).

Design

The Galaxy A36 5G measures 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4 mm and weighs 195 grams. On the front and back is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, framed by a durable plastic body. Underneath the display sits an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The volume rocker and power button are located on the right side of the frame. The top houses the dual SIM tray. Adopting the punch-hole design at the top center is the selfie camera appearing as an Infinity-O display. The backside holds a streamlined triple-camera layout with an LED flash. The lower bezel holds the speaker grille, microphones, and USB Type-C port. (Note: This model does not include a 3.5mm audio jack).

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A36 5G carries a triple-camera setup on the rear:

The processor is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset tagging along with an Octa-core CPU (4x2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55). Combined with the Adreno 710 GPU and a 15% larger vapor chamber, it handles graphics customization, multitasking, and demanding games while keeping thermal throttles low. 5G support ensures smooth online connectivity.

Data Security

The phone features an optical under-display fingerprint sensor. It is protected by Samsung Knox Vault (EAL5+ certified) for hardware-level security. Standard Android security (PIN, pattern, password) and fast facial recognition via the front camera are also present.
